WorkSafe NZ have a number of tools and resources on their Website ( including informative videos for you to watch. These are designed to help you understand some of the new principles that have been implemented and allow you to think of things to help your workplace be safe for you and your workers and those who you may come into contact with.

There is no such thing as zero risk. Doing what is reasonably practicable means you don’t have to do everything humanly possible to manage risk; you do what is suitable in the circumstances to first try to eliminate the risk, and if the risk can’t be eliminated, then you minimise it.

Just because something is possible to do – it doesn’t mean it’s reasonably practicable under the circumstances.
